These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the PatioSun website and the purchase of products from PatioSun. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

1. About Us

PatioSun is a UK-based e-commerce retailer specialising in plug-in solar panel kits for patios, gardens, balconies, and sheds. Our registered business operates from Great Britain and serves customers across the GB mainland.

2. Ordering & Payment

• All orders are placed through our Shopify store at patiosun.myshopify.com.
• Prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT at the prevailing rate.
• Orders are processed within 24 hours on business days (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays).
• We accept major credit and debit cards. Klarna financing is available at checkout for eligible customers.
• An order confirmation email will be sent once your order is placed. This email constitutes acceptance of your order and forms a binding contract.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including orders where pricing errors have occurred.

3. Pricing & Availability

• All prices are subject to change without notice. The price at the time of order placement applies.
• If an item is out of stock, we will contact you with an estimated delivery date. You may choose to wait or cancel for a full refund.
• Limited-edition or batch products (such as the PatioSun Duo) are available while stocks last and cannot be reserved.

4. Delivery

• We deliver to GB mainland addresses only (England, Scotland, and Wales).
• In-stock items are shipped with a 3–5 business day lead time from order processing.
• Deliveries are made by FedEx.
• Parcels weigh between 30kg (Lite) and 55kg (Max & Duo). Two-person handling is required upon delivery.
• You will receive tracking information via email once your order has been dispatched.
• If you are not available to receive delivery, FedEx will follow their standard redelivery or collection procedures.
• Please inspect your parcel upon delivery. If the packaging is visibly damaged, note this with the driver and contact us immediately.

5. Returns & Refunds

• Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, for any reason.
• To initiate a return, contact us at [email protected] within the 14-day period.
• Goods must be returned in their original packaging, unused and in resaleable condition.
• You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the product is faulty or incorrect.
• Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, using the original payment method.
• Faulty or damaged goods will be replaced or refunded at our discretion. Please contact us with photos of the damage.

6. Product Use & Safety

• PatioSun kits are designed for outdoor use in residential settings within the UK.
• All kits comply with the UK G98 standard for small-scale embedded generators and the 800W maximum for patio and garden solar installations.
• Installation must follow the instructions provided. PatioSun is not liable for damage or injury resulting from improper installation or misuse.
• While 90% of installations require no electrician, we recommend consulting a qualified electrician if you have concerns about your home's wiring.

7. Limitation of Liability

• PatioSun shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the product in question.
• Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the PatioSun website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of PatioSun and is protected by UK copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
